Oxygen-Supported Effort
EWOT is not yet open at IZEL, so we are not taking bookings for it and no appointment can be made. Everything below explains what it is and how it is intended to be used, so you can decide whether it is worth your time when it opens. If it is, register your interest and we will get in touch then.
Register your interest →How it works
Breathing oxygen-enriched air during gentle effort raises the oxygen available to you while you work. It is explored for effort tolerance and for how people feel in the hours afterwards, and it is only ever offered where it is appropriate for the individual.
Who it's for
- Rebuilding capacity gradually under supervision
- Following a longevity plan where guided effort has been recommended
- Wanting exercise that is coached rather than self-directed
What to expect
A mask, an easy warm-up and paced effort with someone alongside you throughout. Nothing is pushed and you stop when you or the team decide you have done enough.
Screening is required before use — we will not proceed until you have been assessed.
It is not suitable with unstable cardiovascular or respiratory conditions, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or during pregnancy, and we will say so plainly if it is not right for you.
We are not taking bookings for EWOT and nothing can be reserved today. Leave your details and we will let you know once it opens — no appointment is made, and no time is held.
