Oxygen-Supported Cycling
EWOT-Supported Cycling is not yet open at IZEL, so we are not taking bookings for it and no appointment can be made. Everything below explains what it is and how it is intended to be used, so you can decide whether it is worth your time when it opens. If it is, register your interest and we will get in touch then.
Register your interest →How it works
Cycling while breathing oxygen-enriched air is scheduled alongside your strength and mobility work, used to build cardiovascular capacity as one strand of the wider programme. Your fitness team reviews it the same way as every other part of your plan — held, progressed or adjusted based on how the programme as a whole is going, rather than run as a one-off.
Who it's for
- Already training with the fitness team and adding a conditioning block to the plan
- Wanting cardiovascular capacity built alongside strength work, not as a separate visit
- Working from an assessment where guided, oxygen-supported cycling has been programmed in
What to expect
A mask, an easy warm-up on the bike and paced effort worked into the rest of your session, with someone from the fitness team alongside you throughout. Nothing is pushed, and it stops whenever you or the team call it.
Screening is required before use, carried out by the fitness team as part of your programme assessment.
It is not offered where there are unstable cardiovascular or respiratory conditions, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or during pregnancy, and we will tell you plainly if it is not right for you at this time.
We are not taking bookings for EWOT-Supported Cycling and nothing can be reserved today. Leave your details and we will let you know once it opens — no appointment is made, and no time is held.
