Comfort Between Sessions
TENS is not yet open at IZEL, so we are not taking bookings for it and no appointment can be made. Everything below explains what it is and how it is intended to be used, so you can decide whether it is worth your time when it opens. If it is, register your interest and we will get in touch then.

The unit sends a mild electrical current through the pads into the nerves beneath the skin. That input is studied for the way it alters how pain signals are experienced, which is why TENS is used for comfort between hands-on sessions. It is applied only as one part of a physiotherapist-led plan, never as a treatment in its own right.
Who it's for
- Working through a physiotherapist-led plan and wanting comfort between appointments
- Living with persistent musculoskeletal pain that has already been assessed
- Looking for a non-pharmacological option to consider alongside your medical care
What to expect
Your physiotherapist positions the pads and sets the intensity to a level you find comfortable, adjusting it with you. Most people describe a steady tingling or a light tapping. You are shown how the unit is used and how it sits within the rest of your plan.
Not used if you have a pacemaker or another implanted electrical device, not applied over the front of the neck, and not placed on broken or numb skin; caution applies in pregnancy.
TENS is offered only within a physiotherapist-led plan following assessment, never as a standalone purchase. Suitability is decided at that assessment and we will tell you plainly if it is not right for you. Where your pain needs medical investigation we refer you on: IZEL is not a hospital and does not replace specialist medical care.
We are not taking bookings for TENS and nothing can be reserved today. Leave your details and we will let you know once it opens — no appointment is made, and no time is held.
